Mark Miller is the Green-Rainbow candidate for state representative in the Third Berkshire District (Pittsfield). In the November 2010 election he got 45% of the votes. In the October 18 special election he's running to win.
Here's a link to his first campaign video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…

Born and raised in Pittsfield, worked in Pittsfield, and raising his family in Pittsfield. Very Scott Brown-like … regular guy … strong Independent Voice etc.
Judging by the video he makes a few points.
1.) Employment is low in Pittsfield something like 2,000 people out of work.
2.) The “Hope Gap” 40% of High School grads in Pittsfield are making plans for college versus 60% statewide.
3.) Good jobs require a college education.
Question: Would Mark Miller be open to a casino in Pittsfield? I know the obvious demons behind the gaming industry however it’s a way to bring jobs to a city that is suffering from high unemployment. Many jobs will not require a college education.
