A New Strategy for the Climate Movement

Margaret Klein Salamon, PhD psychologist and Founding Director of The Climate Mobilization, has written up “the psychological foundation of The Climate Mobilization’s strategy and approach” as a 35-page paper.

As the UK has just declared Climate Emergency on the heels of student organizing following the lead of young Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, and young people all over the world are now taking up the mantle, it is clear that we are witnessing a shift towards what Salamon calls “emergency mode.”

We are grateful to see this uprising take root in the U.S. with the Sunrise Movement, Green New Deal, Youth Climate Strike, and Extinction Rebellion all gaining steam.
