    When the voting closed, UMass led the pack by 59,841 votes to Arkansas’ 57,118 votes, followed by Grinnell College in a distant third, with 28,783 votes.

    Here’s the update on their site:

    The voting period for the first ever White House College Campus Champions of Change is now closed.

    Thank you taking the time to vote for the projects you believe best embody the President’s goal to win the future. Based on your input, the 5 winning projects will be announced by the end of Monday, March 5th. Winners and their guests will then be invited to an event at the White House on Thursday, March 15th where they will be honored for their innovation, determination, and engagement.

    The 5 winners will also be featured by mtvU and MTV Act and be given the opportunity to host an episode of mtvU’s signature program, “The Dean’s List.”
