The SAGE Alliance is sponsoring a creative, fun action coming up on Sat. September 8th that we want you to know about. People are gathering that day in a flotilla on the Connecticut River and the shore across from the Vermont Yankee Nulcear Reactor – which continues to put overheated and radioactive water into the river.
More details at: http://sagealliance.net/action…
The message will be to tell Entergy (the corporate reactor owner) to stop the pollution which is damaging the ecology of the river and its watershed. There will be speakers, music and an “ice drop”. The more people come the more powerful will be our voices will be and the more dramatic will be the photographs and videos we hope to send around the world. Bring a boat! Or just watch them float!

As you know, radiation knows no borders. VT Yankee is just over the Mass. border in Vernon, Vermont right on the shore of the Connecticut River. It is the same type of old sketchy BWR reactor that continues to meltdown in Fukushima. So is the Pilgrim nuke in Plymouth. These old nukes are a threat to all of us!
