With a heavy heart, we report the news that longtime disability rights activist and Green-Rainbow Party of Massachusetts stalwart Martina Robinson passed away late last year. She was an inspiration to many, and made a bit of a name for herself as a GRP candidate for Lt. Governor in 2006:

“I would like to say that of course there are differences between the Democrats and Republicans, and there are some different opinions. However, they all follow the same pattern and they’re all beholden to big corporations.” ~Boston.com

From her obituary:

She always said “I don’t need to be rich or famous. I just want people to remember I was here and tried to make a difference. However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don’t give up.”

She never did give up.

Rest in peace, rest in power, fearless Martina.
